Charlie is an Award Winning Cinematographer who’s recent credits include Nights directed by Laura Tunbridge for Disney+/Starz just had its premier at the BFI London Film Festival and has started its festival run. 

Realness with a Twist directed by Cass Virdee for Lucky Mascots is screening on 4OD & Film4 after premiering at the IRIS film festival and winning the Youth Audience Award. 

His latest short Paternal Advice directed by Lisa Clarkson for BFI/ScreenScotland & Ossain Int is in the final stages of Post Production. 

Charlies Short Animation Night of the Living Dread directed by Ida Mellum was Nominated for the Academy Award, BAFTA Best Animimated Short and BIFA best short in 202§.

Charlie studied cinematography at the UK’s prestigious National Film & Television School were he won the Panalux Best Cinematography Award for his graduation film ‘MUSE’ as well as the Christies award for Most Promising Student. Charlie was sponsored to attend the school by both Warner Bros and Kodak as a Creative Scholar.

Charlie also worked previously in the lighting department for 5 years on feature films, high end television and commercials here in the UK and Internationally.

Prior to this Charlie studied cinematography at the Arts University Bournemouth were he won the Oswald Morris award for Cinematography for his film Wait for Me, which was a finalist at CameraImage. As well as winning the KODAK Commercial Award for Cinematography.

At heart Charlie is a storyteller who thrives as part of a team to create a visual language and style that renders each project unique.He is renowned for his “can do” attitude, hard work, good humour and flair for finding creative solutions to difficult situations.
